Assignment:
using 8 different texts about "city" from variety point of view, make a book with only typography.(no picture!)

My concept:
"Between the lines" regarding City as a text. The book consists of mainly two parts. One is the white pages with analytical texts, the other is red small pages between the white pages with literary texts.

My concept:
My concept is besed on"How we can reduce religional conflicts?"
To avoid the conflicts, it is very important not to put things into two categories: good or evil.
This is mandala-formed graphic stands for the "circulating way of thinking", using theories from Buddhism.

2005_NL_3rd year_Scheme for "Dirty Pretty Things"

Assignment:
Take elements out of the film and make a scheme about that.

My concept:
"Dirty Pretty Things" is a story about some illegal immigrants in London.
Focused on the contrast between day and night(nights happens more criminals than daytimes),
I made a scheme to make clear what happens at day and night.

2005_NL_3rd year_Project"Tourism and Identity"

Assignment:
Suggest a new kind of tourism for Netherlands considering its identity.

My concept:
To feel "Netherlands" in the daily life - at the supermarket through the products from
Netherlands.
Target group is japanese people who working very hard and therefore have little time to travel around. For them the supermarket is the most visited place.
People can find typical products at this supermarket and if you swing the products on the barcord reader you can get more information about Netherlands.

This idea comes from one of the most important feature of Netherlands: its high trading
ability since hundreds years ago.

I made a shopping-bag-formed broshure and a poster.

2006_NL_3rd year_Graphic "Word painting"

Assignment:
Make a graphic besed on the idea "word painting" - discriving a certain scenary with words.

My concept:
This is a view from my window on the 6th floor at night. I see a lot of shimmerling lights of houses.
What I can express with words is just the color of them. Other than the lights, everythiing is in the darkness.

2005_NL_3erd year_Poster"Trust me!"

Assignment:
Make a poster related with "Trust" - what you can trust on, or the other way around.

My concept:
"Don't trust on your password so much!" is my concept. Nowadays people has not only one, but also several passwords at a time. They seem to convicee its safty, but how it is in reality?
A poster to alarm people to its danger.

P2005_DEU_2nd year_PDF-Magazine on the Web "pincponc"

Assignment:
Make several pages for PDF-Magazine on the web.
The theme is "DIE UND WIR(we and they)". Chose two different groups and make some pages about that.

My concept:
my concept is "Sitting on the floor and sitting on the chair". It also srtands for the european and asian culture.
Through the geometric form, it is easy to be recognised the difference between the two types of sitting form. At the end, a suggestion of new style of sitting with not only european, but also asian elements.

2005_DEU_end of 2nd year_Vordiplom"Typography+Step"book

Assignment:
This is free project at the end of 2nd year. It's called "Vordiplom" in Germany.
Find your own theme and develop your concept, and make a graphic-based work.

My concept:
Discover a new aspect of Typography with european alphabet.
The european alphabet mekes me a very quiet and ordinary impression because of its simple constructure comparing with japanese letters.
What I tried to do in my work is to show people its another aspects - its more emotional side.
I made a Yes-No stamps and put it behind the shoes and let people dance with them.
So I got the foot prints you see above and made a book with that.

2005_DEU_2nd year_Photography "Portrait"

Assignment:
This is from photography course. The theme is "Portrait".

My concept:
To emphasize the constructural difference of face between european and asian people, I used a thin cloth in front of their faces and took pictures.
Thorugh shadows, the differences appear more emotionaly.

2005_DEU_2nd year_A Page for a Magazine "Hera from greece mythology"

Assignment:
Make a grahic for a page of magazine about greece mythology.
Every student get a character from mythology and make a graphic about the character.


My concept:
My character is Hera, wife of Zeus famous for its strong character.
Considering her strong and envious character, I drew a storm-like motiev behind and
put typography on that.

2005_DEU_2nd year_Poster for Open CampusA

Assignment:
Make a poster for open campus in 2005.
The slogan is "Offensichtlich mehr"(obviously more).

My concept:
The basic idea to introduce each department at the open campus, is to use different colors for each department. Product design is blue, kommunication design is red for instance.
According to this colors and considering the slogan, I made a graphic using a motief of "volume" - its waving form to express"obviously more".

2005_DEU_self project_Illustration"Asian Horoscope"

This is self-project focused on the illustration.

My concept:
I drew 12 characters from asian horoscope. Each figure refletcs its special feature.
Cow is hard working etc.
Because I'm interested in the line of body and its dynamism, I tried to make them more
energish.

I made a logo mark ( the female figure)for a cosmetic company in Germany, according to the client's wish that they would like to have a meditating female character.

2004_DEU_self project_Logos for Cities in Japan

This is a self-project to make logo marks for japanese cities.

My concept:
According to slogan of each city, I made logo marks besed on japanese letter.

This is self project focused on combining Illustration and Typography.
These works come from my personal interest for Illustration and Typography.
I made some graphics for each characters from Horoscope using Typography.

2004_DEU_1st year_6 series Poster for "Typography and Architecture"

Assignment:
Make 6-series of Posters about "Typography and Architecture".
Chose one architect, one era or one architecture type and letter type.

My concept:
I chose "Renaissance" and "Fillipo Brunelleschi", as letter type "Garamond".
To express the movement of this era, I put the big letters behind and a key word for each poster in front with black colors.
